YOGA THERAPY
Yoga therapy is used to alleviate and help manage physical and mental health conditions and is underpinned by psychotherapeutic principles and scientific research. Specific practices within yoga therapy have been proven to positively impact our mind and body, resulting in better health and improved well-being. These practices can be adapted to meet your exact needs, even if you are bedbound.
Yoga therapy incorporates many elements, as the word “Yoga” means unity. In a yoga therapy session movement, stillness, breathwork, meditation, relaxation, and philosophy can be used to support many different types of conditions; whether you are recovering from cancer, living with chronic pain, Parkinson's, or PTSD. It can be used to support grief, anxiety, depression, or struggling with confidence and self-esteem. There are so many reasons for people to explore yoga therapy and all of them are welcome.
